MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1979 film?

Century XXIII. When Admiral James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise, is entrusted with a complex mission: to neutralize a strange body to some extent avoid collision with the Earth and the resulting fatality. The officer Spock, Captain Willard Decker and Ilia adviser Dr. Kirk McCoy help to discover the nature of the outer body, with its mechanism of terrestrial origin intelligence. The issue of Enterprise locates the entity and then prepares to enter its hub. First installment of the popular film fantasy series created by Gene Roddenberry. This movie is part of the Star Trek saga (1979, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1991, 1996, 1998, 2002, 2009).
