MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1959 film?

Die junge Monika führt mit ihrem Mann Dieter einen Pferde-Trabrennstall-Betrieb und ist scheinbar glücklich. Als eines Tages aber ihr einstiger Jugendfreund Alexander, in den sie immer heimlich verliebt war, vor ihr steht, erkennt sie, dass sie ihn immer noch faszinierend findet. Geschickt umgarnt und umwirbt sie dieser nun, um Monika unwissend für einen großen Wettbetrug zu missbrauchen. Tatsächlich schafft er es, dass sie sich auf ein Abenteuer mit ihm einlässt, und ihm dadurch zum großen Wetterfolg verhilft. Als er sich mit dem Geld absetzen möchte, stellt ihn Monikas Mann zur Rede. Obwohl er ihn nur niederschlägt, wird Alexander erwürgt, und ohne dem Geld aufgefunden. Nun liegt es daran zu beweisen, dass er unschuldig ist. Doch alle halten ihn für einen Raubmörder. Bis Monika vom wahren Täter, den sie durch Zufall gesehen hat, ein Phantombild anfertigen lässt...
