MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1957 film?

An American pilot who lives fully surrendered to the military life, suffered a domestic accident and breaks his spine. Paralyzed in a wheelchair, begins a new life as a writer and even hired as a screenwriter in Hollywood. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese, is sent to the Pacific as a supervisor of a revolutionary new aircraft carrier prototype. His extraordinary willpower makes gradually recovers from his injury.
