MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1975 film?

New York, 2012. Civilization has returned to barbarism, and destroyed cities inhabited communes battle each other for scarce food left, some of the wildest districts than others. One day, a mysterious individual, large, strong as steel, appears, offering himself as a warrior to one of these communes, which seems to be governed by principles more civilized.
