MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2009 film?

A meteor shower becomes plants brought about monsters and space leaving the majority of totally blind people. The few people who kept the vision are the only hope for mankind. This film is a remake of La semilla del espacio (1962), the remakes are new versions of the same story.
