New Orleans, 1937. A rich widow, Mrs. Venable, offered to provide funds for the construction of a cotolengo. Is a condition that Dr. Cukrowicz will perform a lobotomy on her niece, crazy from having witnessed the murder of his cousin, occurred under mysterious circumstances during a trip to Europe.
