MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1959 film?

In 1943, the Allies have landed in southern Italy, but the North still under fascist rule by the German occupation. In Genoa, 1943, Bertone, a swindler with immense theatrical talents, is arrested by the Nazis and forced to impersonate a Fascist military, General della Rovere. Its mission is to identify the leaders of the Resistance, but just taking his role too seriously.
