MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1977 film?

Heidi, a 5-year-old orphan, is taken by her aunt Dete to the Swiss mountain of Alm to live with her grandfather in order to follow up on a job offer in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. At first, the 'Old Man of the Alps', as he is known in the nearby villages, is not very happy about having to take care of the little girl. However, the ineffable tenderness and joy of his granddaughter makes him gradually change his character, not only towards her, but also towards other people. Heidi has discovered a captivating life in the mountains and does not want to leave. She befriends a neighboring shepherd named Pedro and together they take pleasant walks in the mountains while herding goats. Heidi quickly wins the affection of everyone, even Pedro's grandmother, an old, weak and blind woman.
