MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1951 film?

Based on the classic novel by Murasaki Shikibu, written over 1000 years ago. Genji, the son of the emperor, has gained popularity among the nobility of Kyoto for his charm and good looks, but he can not stop chasing the object of desire that must never get: the beautiful young wife of his father. Following his tragic obsession, Genji goes from one subject to another, always seeking some kind of resolution to his life.
