MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1958 film?

Eva Brunner und Karl Müller arbeiten in derselben Firma. Sie als Sekretärin, er als Buchhalter. Er liebt sie, sie zeigt ihm die kalte Schulter. Er macht plötzlich eine Erbschaft, sie geht mit Direktor Morath aus. Jetzt hat Karl Müller zwei Probleme: Er muss Eva von seiner Liebe überzeugen und sich gleichzeitig allerhand dunkler Gestalten erwehren, die nach dem Tod des Onkels bei ihm auftauchen. Auch die Polizei interessiert sich für den Erben, und so hat Müller alle Hände voll zu tun, mit Missverständnissen verschiedenster Art klarzukommen. Glücklicherweise lernt er Irene, die hübsche Tochter von Generaldirektor Rotter, kennen. Sie sorgt dafür, dass Karl befördert wird, woraufhin alle ihn für Irenes Geliebten halten. Natürlich auch Eva. Doch schließlich gelingt es Karl, Direktor Morath als Komplizen bei den dunklen Geschäften seines verstorbenen Onkels zu entlarven. Und mit Irenes Hilfe kann er schließlich auch Eva von seiner Liebe überzeugen.
