MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1958 film?

The 60-year-old diving inspector Paul Hinrichs becomes unemployed. Since he still has to care for his two children and fears for his social security, he falsifies his date of birth in his papers to get the job as a diver in a Hamburg salvage company. But soon it becomes apparent that he is no longer up to the efforts of the job. In addition, he is burdened by the fact that his daughter Lena falls in love with Manfred, a young diver with a weak character, who threatens to slide into crime due to lack of money. Only when Manfred is able to prove himself in a dramatic rescue operation and the old Hinrichs wins the respect of his work colleagues and superiors through a bravura performance, things get back on track.
