MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1962 film?

Der mit seiner Stellung unzufriedene Martin Hinterkirchner schickt seine heimlich komponierten Schlager an einen Manager. Einer davon wäre ideal für die berühmte Sängerin Linda Borg , doch deren Managerin lehnt ab. Dumm nur, dass Martin jetzt Linda dafür verantwortlich macht und keine guten Worte über sie findet - im Gegensatz zu seinem Großvater Leopold, der Linda auf einer Hundeschau kennen gelernt hat. Als Martin bei einem Schlagerwettbewerb für seinen untalentierten Freund Peter als Sänger einspringt und irrtümlich glaubt, durchgefallen zu sein, geht er in sein Tiroler Heimatdorf Himmelberg zurück. Peter akzeptiert hingegen einen Vertrag, obwohl er das nötige Duett mit Linda Borg nicht singen kann und nach Ausflüchten sucht. Missgestimmt fährt Linda nach Tirol, weil sie von dort Liebesbriefe erhalten hat. Sie hat keine Ahnung, dass Martins Großvater Leopold der geheime Absender ist, der sie dazu bringen will, Martins Schlager zu singen.
