MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1957 film?

Film version of the famous unfinished satirical novel by the Czech writer Jaroslav Ha? ? Ek, published in 1921 and 1922, which tells the story of the adventures of a veteran soldier llquerido Czech Josef ? ? Vejk during the First World War. The story begins with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. ? ? vejk is stopped at the tavern by an agent of the secret police and ends up in an asylum, but is eventually released. Presume officially being stupid and demonstrates a patriotic enthusiasm for the war and the Austro -Hungarian. Then is drafted into the army. His special way of attending to the orders of his superiors and how to implement them in the viewer leaves doubts about his possible foolishness or wisdom. This film is a remake of Dobrý voják Svejk (1955), the remakes are new versions of the same story.
