MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1939 film?

A French surgeon is accused of a crime he did not commit and sent to Devil's Island along with other inmates. But the doctor does not stand still and organizes a prison revolt, which is the hard appeased. Confined in solitude, the doctor tries to escape and was captured, sentenced to death.
