MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1957 film?

During World War II, the Allied material superiority was slowly decanting the balance of the conflict in their favor. The strife in North Africa and led to bloody clashes which shone brave heroism. This piece cinematográgica is based on the true story of a German pilot Hans- Joachim Marseille, nicknamed Star of Africa. In January 1941 he was transferred to North Africa and 24 February 1942 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross later having achieved 46 kills. On 1 September 1942 consilideró down 17 enemy aircraft in a single day. It was the fourth member of the Wehrmacht who was awarded the bright in Oak Leaves with Swords to his Iron Cross. The Star of Africa, at the controls of his Messerschmitt Me 109 achieved 158 victories over Allied aircraft, a record never achieved by amount and as a young pilot who died before age 23.
