MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1958 film?

At the time of Augustus the Strong, the Saxon governor Colonel Ollendorf leads an autocratic regiment in occupied Krakow. When the beautiful Comtesse Laura rejects him in front of everyone at a festival, he wants to take revenge on her. He promises the imprisoned poor student Symon his freedom if he poses as a nobleman and manages to marry Laura. Ollendorf's calculation seems to work, because Laura falls in love with the young man.
