MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1933 film?

The action takes place in America in 1899. It is a good writer, so besides the prison governor granted privileges that saved the inhumane treatment inflicted on other inmates. Bill Porter is in prison. Although Porter is well aware of the brutality with others, avoids writing about prison life as would question their privileged position. To ease his conscience tries to comfort his fellow worst treated and, incidentally, to all readers with overly romantic fantasies which invariably trumps good.
