MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1949 film?

One rainy night, a stranger arrives in a coastal city of northern France and is also recorded in a cheap hotel. It seems knowing the region, appears to be in good health. All that is also known about him is his name - Pierre - and the entire planet suspects him. But why is he here ? Why are you so sad ? The solutions arise when another man appears on the scene, an acquaintance of Pierre who knows who committed the crime and that he intends to use this information to form their own benefit.
