MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

Tomas Alonso is a farmer who also lives in the vast solitude of a sunken valley in the middle of steppes and moors. Only sometimes, only certain evenings, Thomas plays the violin. It is a dignified and serene lord, in the manner of a solitary tree. The rainy day in which the violinist buried his wife in the company of his son James, aged twelve, after his return home, his son Thomas and seek the only photograph of his wife, a portrait made in his teens, where poses candidly on the sunny shores of the sea. That night, in front of the kitchen fire, both are sworn courage, as two archaic soldiers wage a battle against loneliness. Obsessed with the photograph of his mother at sea, Santiago asked Thomas to speak of that site, to tell you whether or not there oxen seas. The violinist, who has never been out of the mountains, the sea invents imagines a utopian, naive and magnificent. So, Tomas Alonso and James begin to create a planet far pampering them, and every day will building a kind of mythology, of moments, of places: speaking of the sea every morning while plowing, cutting the wheat and coffee rainy afternoons ; invent a courage without armies or enemies, wonder how will the horse in the sea.
