MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1953 film?

Robert Teller is an American soldier who, in 1944, participated in the liberation of France. In Paris, he meets a poor girl who inspires compassion and pretends to be married to her to avoid being arrested for prostitution. When Teller attempts to legalize the union, his superiors denied permission. The girl, who is really in love with him, demonstrating a tragic end.
