MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

Wanting to bootstrap their way to avoid it of Brooklyn's mean streets is Diamond, a rap musician. Along with his long-time pal Gage acting as his supervisor, he is wanting to lay down a demo tape with cut-rate studio time. To pay the bills, he and Gage run drugs for 'Mr. B.' Inside weekly, Diamond's beloved mother dies out of the blue, their daddy appears after an absence of 12 years and wishes a relationship, and their girlfriend Kia tells him she's expecting, asking him if he's willing to be a father. Gage steals $100,000 in a multiple-felony robbery to ensure Diamond can record a full album, unsure it's Mr. B's cash he's taken. B wants their money, Diamond desires his music, Tia wishes a remedy.
