MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1989 film?

Pedro's wife dies due to lack of resources to attend her childbirth and he decides to do the only thing he thinks can solve his situation: go to the USA as an undocumented bracero, traveling as a hitchhiker. Pedro and his Mexican friend in any and every way are tracked down by the police when they manage to cross the desert.
