MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2003 film?

Set in the ferocious Gobi Desert, the chronicle follows two protagonists, Lieutenant Li and Japanese emissary Lai Xi, both warriors first and teachers with a sword. After decades in the service of the Chinese Emperor, Lai Xi longs to return to Japan, but instead, is sent west to chase wanted criminals. His only passport back to Japan is to capture and execute Lieutenant Li, a renegade soldier wanted for leading a violent mutiny when he refused orders to kill women and children pris - ros. Li and Lai Xi fight, but eventually agree ner deferring their personal fight until the caravan carrying a Buddhist monk Minzhu and is safe.
