MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1956 film?

After the civil war with the Northern victory, begins the period of Reconstruction, a period of reprisals and economic takeover of the Southern states. Lincoln had projected condeder amnesty for Confederates to promote reconciliation between winners and losers, but the Provisional Government formed as a result of his crime ordered the military occupation of the South and the imposition of harsh war reparations. With the Yankee troops comes a bunch of speculators and unscrupulous adventurers willing to make wealth. After the war, Colt Saunders a military veteran, returns to his ranch in Texas, where he will face two problems. First, the dark past of woman he just married. Furthermore, the greed of the Provisional government officials who want to seize their land.
