In 1935, two German geologists, Henno Martin and Hermann Korn, leave Nazi Germany to go Namibia in order to carry out their field research. With the outbreak of World War II, many Germans living in Namibia were interned in local fields. As pacifists, the two German scientists refuse to be arrested, and flee the Namib Desert, home for over two years.
