MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2001 film?

On his retirement, Jerry Black, a Nevada homicide detective, for the surprise party held in his honor, happily accepts the generous gift of his colleagues: a plane ticket for the trip of your dreams: go fishing Mexico. But when it is discovered in the mountains the dead body of a girl of eight years, Jerry, unable to stay away, go to the crime scene and is responsible for communicating the terrible news to the family of the victim. Given the suffering of the parents and their own uncertainty about the meaning of life, Jerry vows to find the murderer.
