MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1997 film?

At age 16, Dedee Truitt knows a lot about life, maybe too much. She runs away from her troubled Louisiana home to go live with his half - brother Bill, and it makes the world upside down. Bill, who is gay, is a dedicated English teacher in a small town in Indiana, and has a good sum of money later that his wealthy lover died and left a good legacy. Bill is trying to resurrect his life with a new boyfriend, Matt. Lucia, the sexually repressed best friend of Bill and sister of his deceased ex - lover, do not trust Dedee and Bill seeks to protect. His suspicions are confirmed when Dedee, attracted by the handsome Matt, Bill convinces the lover to abandon his homosexual lifestyle to stay with her. This unusual love triangle is further complicated when Dedee reveals that she is pregnant and Matt's dad. She then persuades Matt to steal from Bill a lot of money and to accompany him to Los Angeles. As an insurance policy, Dedee also steals the ashes of the deceased ex - lover and threatens to throw Bill if Bill goes in search of her and Matt.
