MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1942 film?

Charles Strickland is a stockbroker, married with two children and no visible conflict with his family. One day, the wife discovers a note announces that her husband has separated and has left Paris forever. When the whole world has assumed that the other lady, Geoffrey Wolfe, a writer who has just made Strickland family friend, checks that the reason for their flight is another very special. Passion and dedication to a character inspired by the life of the controversial painter Paul Gauguin. A remake called The Moon and Sixpence (1959) was made based on this movie.
