MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

A Russian-born Jewish peasant emigrates to America with the intention of taking her mother and her daughter when it is properly installed. Years later, thanks to his talent in singing and dancing somehow involved in a show in Paris, where he made very good friends and meet Cesar, a handsome gypsy horseman. Shortly after, his daughter embarks trip to look, however all this ends in a boat that even goes to England, where he is welcomed by a family and adopted the name of Suzie. Their peaceful life is disrupted by the occupation of France by the Germans.
