MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2002 film?

The Magdalene convents in Ireland were run by the Sisters of Mercy on behalf of the Catholic Church. Welcomed the girls sent by their families or orphanages, which were locked and there is forced to work in laundries to atone for their sins. These sins were of a different nature: from being a single mother to be too cute or too ugly, or too simple or too smart, or the victim of a rape, and for such sins worked without receiving any remuneration, 364 days a year, and the was starving, they are subjected to physical punishment, humiliation, physical and moral violence, and they are separated from their children. The penalties they had to meet were limitless. Thousands of señora.s lived and died there. The last of the Magdalene convent in Ireland closed in 1996. " The Magdalene Sisters" is based on the point of view of four of these teens in the sixties, a time of liberalization of customs for the lady. These Catholic adolescents were living a nightmare as little medieval, while the outer planet tacitly claimed the existence of a theocratic state. The theater piece explores the development of their personalities, in a controlled and dominated by virgins, servants of God, brides of Christ. Each in its own way, the girls try to rebel, and their lives follow different paths. It is a fiction film, which unfortunately is based on a true story.
