The Undertaker L. B. Jones, the richest black man in the county, wants to divorce his wife because he has been unfaithful with a white policeman. Jones has been the case in the hands of the most prestigious lawyer city and everything seems to be solved by mutual agreement. But suddenly, the woman changes her mind and refuses the pact because it would be a process in which the police would be called to testify and lose his job.
