MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1987 film?

Beijing, 1908. China is in decline. Pu Yi, a child of three years, is torn from the arms of his mother, in the middle of the night, and taken to the Forbidden City, where he is crowned emperor, but will have to live confined within this enclosure inaccessible.
