MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1953 film?

You could say that this conquest of Everest took about 30 years to make. In early 1920, the Mallory expedition tried to climb Everest and failed in the attempt. Some pictures from this failed mission presented in this documentary to contrast with the feat that later would take place: the conquest of Everest in 1952. Many archival images shown here belong to George Lowe, a member of the expedition. It was impossible to film scenes for the summit itself, so that the arrival at the top is narrated by Meredith Edwards and other members of the expedition.
