MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1936 film?

First sound version of the popular myth Sweeney Todd, a barber in addition murderer who slaughtered and also stole from his victims in complicity with his neighbor, Mrs. Lovett that made them disappear like meat pies. Adapt the play by George Dibdin -Pitt in 1847 to the glory of divo Tod Slaughter, who represented the character for over four thousand performances and is a good example of purely British fear the 30s of XX century. In 1979 the legend would be converted into a sinister and memorable musical by Stephen Sondheim, based in turn on a previous work by Christopher Bond 1973. A remake called Sweeney Todd (2006) was made based on this movie.
