MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1941 film?

Obsessed with the idea of making a piece cinematográgica on the misery and suffering, film director John L. Sullivan convince studio executives to allow him to travel the country disguised as a hobo before starting to roll. After working as a laborer for a widow awaiting him than chopping wood, runs away from home, however the truck that picks it up it takes you back to Hollywood. Feeling completely frustrated, Sully enters a cafe, where he meets a blonde actress, who, excited about her project, decides to accompany him on his adventure.
