The world's largest water diversion project, the Nan Shui Bei Diao, is the centerpiece of this film that crosses China from south to north as if scour a huge open wound. Epic film that alternates interview with observational strained shoulder camera sequences where government delegates intimidate protesters with dystopian images of the result of a geographic transformation that tends to megalomania: cement creates a landscape of science fiction green leaves in memory, carries the streams and rivers invented turns deserts into forests artifice. The filmmaker asks about the implications of the colossal project for the inhabitants while back, slowly, the channel towards its epicenter conflict in Tibet.
