MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1968 film?

This short film, which has many of the key philosophical, ethical and spiritual issues that have preoccupied the great Polish director for the rest of his career, is a subtle story about a young student stay in an isolated monastery, which comes on a ferry as a restaurateur. Close observation by the girl on the dying and last days in the life of the monastery provincial Dad, makes up the tension, uncertainty and anxiety developed, mostly in silence. Awarded at various festivals, including festivals in Venice, Mannheim, Valladolid and Moscow, this outstanding personal and Krzysztof Zanussi short film marked the PhD thesis work in film directing at the prestigious Lodz Film Academy, school, cultural reference in Europe, which extended over six years and which was Comrade Krzysztof Kieslowski studies.
