MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1986 film?

The reporter Clay Totin always been attracted by a tragic event occurred more than fifteen years in a small town in Texas: the killing of Jean Logan, movie star of the 30s. It was always believed that even the author was a cowboy named Buck McCain and also who committed suicide after killing her. Clay returns to the crime scene, a place that seems a ghost town, in which the presence of journalist raises fears of nearly all its inhabitants. His research will become increasingly dangerous.
