MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1986 film?

Tommy Wilhelm is a seller. An honest and well worker who has lost his job, his girlfriend, and left part of his sanity behind as he heads to New York to thereby pick up the pieces of his life. He has always been able to sell, but instead caught in a downward spiral, which must, in addition, face the father who never understood him, while trying to rebalance their precarious existence.
