MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1974 film?

Carmelo Penitenza, over fifty, married with five children, is called to arms by a mistake. Life in the barracks is nevertheless underlined by a series of jokes conceived by the rest of his comrades. First they are in the infirmary, then in a school, with the pretension of continuing a lesson on the different parts that compose a rifle. When Carmelo goes on a mission, he manages to get the commendation and leave from the commander; Renato follows him and, when he arrives home, he meets his daughter, Rosalia, and soon a love story is born. When the day of discharge arrives, certain soldiers read agendas inviting soldiers to sign up for a unique 3-year course. Carmelo cheats Renato and Renato signals him, so he will still have to continue in the army, while the rest will leave; however, he will soon be comforted by the fact that he will bring Rosalia, now his wife, to Sardinia, where he is stationed.
