MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2009 film?

Raksasar Urophong debut as a director with Stories from the North caught the attention of critics in the festival circuit. In his new work without restrictions faced the problems of his country, directly and incorruptible. Although the title is certainly ironic and evokes the horrors of the Khmer Rouge, who tried to build an egalitarian organization based in the rural economy, the real intention of the director is portraying a tradition that gradually fades. Filmed in his hometown, to document the process of cultivating a rice field through the change of seasons. This offered a spot to two local families who cultivate no machinery and no electricity, in the traditional manner.
