MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2004 film?

Chronicled Stanley " Tookie " Williams, a founder of the famous Crips street gang in Los Angeles. In 1981 he was sentenced to death for killing two years before a clerk shot, and also for the murder of a motel owners in Los Angeles and their daughter during a robbery, also in 1979. Once in prison Williams, who also never admitted to being guilty of the murders, renounced violence, wrote books for young somehow warning of the dangers of joining gangs and was the focus of media then that his followers will nominate for the Nobel Peace Prize. That group called for his death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, so that from the jail continue with their social work. Upon entering prison, Williams suffered what he described as a " redemptive transition ." Since then it became a symbol of hope and determination for disadvantaged youth, particularly through the publication of a series of children's books in which he spoke of the dangers of life in the bands. The State of California was executed in 2005, after Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to grant him that night no mercy. In recent years, Williams had become a symbol against the death penalty. This movie is part of the Redemption saga (2004).
