MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2000 film?

In the 20's, Berlin had become a gay paradise, where gays and lesbians lived relatively exposed within a subculture of artists and intellectuals. With the coming to power of the Nazis, everything changed. Between 1933 and 1945 100,000 men were arrested for being gay, on charges of sodomy, according to Article 175 of the German Penal Code of 1871. In 1997 the directors Robert Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman went to Amsterdam for the presentation of your piece cinematográgica " The Celluloid Closet ". There they met Dr. Klaus Müller, German historian and Director of European Holocaust Memorial Museum United States, and proposed to take this chronic hidden international attention. Narrated by Rupert Everett.
