As Japan prepares to face a major crisis in their chronic lone monk named Nichiren proposes a theory that although it goes against common beliefs of the time, yet provides a possible solution. His firm belief in the teachings of the " Lotus Sutra " will cause huge problems, attempts on his life and, at last, forced exile to Sado Island. All while Kublai Khan's fleet is approaching the Japanese coast.
