" My comrade Ivan Lapshin " shows everyday life in the thirties in a way never addressed in the USSR, no heroism, no stereotyped, with all its misery and squalor. The action is negligible. It happens on a provincial town and the protagonist is a teenager police officer, the Cheka Stalin, who fight criminal gangs operating in the area. Showing hardship of daily life, food shortages, police raids, interrogation and imprisonment.
