MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1987 film?

Chronicle of the problem that has surrounded the Miss California beauty contest during the last decade, raises profound questions about the legitimacy of beauty pageants and the role of women in contemporary society. Located in the coastal city of Santa Cruz, for the past 62 years, the contest has traditionally served as a focal point for community pride and activity. In the early 1970s, but a handful of feminists began protesting against the competition, by the '80s, the protest had grown larger than the competition itself, forcing you to move to San Diego in 1986.
