MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1990 film?

Shortly before the First World War, Dr. Gräsler, middle-aged man and thermal doctor, leaves the island of Lanzarote, where he remained during the winter and returned to Hungary to practice their profession. Gräsler has been linked romantically to the sister Friederike. But then commit suicide this, warns the emptiness of his own life and decides to look for the lady always perfect, he believes Schleheim found in Sabine, the young daughter of a retired singer. But frightened by the idea of getting married, moving away from Sabine and finds a way to flirt with Katharina, a bet peasant dies in his arms because of scarlet fever. Dr. Gräsler is saddened by this loss and the recent and mysterious death of the sister Friederike had fed him so much passion. Finally gives in to the temptations of the widow Sommer, which appears to Friederike.
