MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 1943 film?

A woman explores her own inner images, through a dream, where ordinary objects of everyday life with an eerie mystery. Deren explained that he wanted " to capture on film the feeling experienced by a man about an incident, rather than accurately record the incident ." Co-directed with her husband, cinematographer Alexander Hammid, " Meshes of the Afternoon", through its multiple readings and reinterpretations, he soon emerged as one of the most important experimental films of all time, and turned to Maya Deren in the preeminent voice of " avant -garde cinema" of the United States in the '40s and '50s, influencing directors such as Jean Cocteau, Luis Bunuel and David Lynch. The film was acquired by MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
