MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2011 film?

The Malavoglias are a family of fishermen. The grandfather, Padron 'Ntoni, lives in the Nespolo house with his daughter Maruzza and her husband Bastianazzo and their three children, the twenty-year-old 'Ntoni and the younger Mena, Lia and Alessi. Soon Alef, called Alfio, a Tunisian illegal immigrant, joins them, thanks to the generosity of young 'Ntoni, who picks him up at the moment of disembarkation from the refugee ship and finds him work in the greenhouses. But one day, the Malavoglia's boat, the Provvidenza, is shipwrecked: Bastianazzo dies and Maruzza loses her mind. A second shipwreck takes away their house, sickens the heart of the grandfather and reduces 'Ntoni to drink to forget, but it will be his idea to transcribe the voice of his grandfather who recites his proverbs on a musical track that will become the song of the summer and will allow him to buy back the house of Nespolo and put back into the sea the Provvidenza.
