MOVIE SYNOPSIS - Where can I watch it and what's the story of this 2004 film?
Alan Lomax was a collector, not a collector yet either. For much of his life, he traveled the world with his tape recorder to catch the best folk songs. When Rogier Kappers, director, visits to interview Alan Lomax, Alan discovers a can not speak because of a brain hemorrhage. The director then decides to look for the people that Lomax had recorded years earlier. The trip takes you through the desolate Scottish islands, uninhabited inside Spain or isolated mountain villages of Italy. Kappers meets those Lomax became artists: farmers, workers, housewives, pastors ..., all give the best part of themselves to sing the most beautiful song. In this passionate and musical road movie, progressively discover why folk music can be so beautiful and what is the treasure he possessed, at the time, Alan Lomax.
